I even have the 660 figured out to a certain extent but I changed the sounds and now they sound distorted and horrible and what ever I did I can't figure out how to undo so I am ready to dispose of the miniscule piece of machinery. I am wondering if the problem is no manual or not having the original adapter? Its gotta be better to buy drum machines brand new. Rating: 1 out of 5 posted Tuesday-Sep-24-2002 at 06:04. The effects are not wonderful but surely usable. The instrument is very dynamic and the frequency response is wide and bright. The sounds are covering all the needs, featuring all the classic drum machine hits. My only criticism is that is possible to hear a little (very little) noise due perhaps to the converter. But in the 'real' professional life there is no problem.

I recommend it, it's a classic and, for now, roland has anything in the market that is beating this. Rating: 5 out of 5 posted Saturday-Sep-07-2002 at 20:59. Alot of people bitch about the sounds but i think they are pretty good esp after adding effects and whatnot.

Anywho my main gripes are how this thing looks like (by its 4x4 button setup) that its going to be an easy programable 16 step sequencer. Tis not the case you gotta hit the FWD button to go on to the next step and (for me) i dont like how the steps are named. I guess they did this for more pro people than me, that just like to call it button 5 er whatever but heres how it goes 100, 124, 148, 172, 200 thats where on a 16 step sequncer would be button 1,2,3,4,5. Takes some getting used to no huge deal. But i also like to see when i hit a specific pad all the places that that pad are at and you cant unless you scroll through all the steps.

Maybe im just to old school but i dont like it. After u get over it its pretty str8 forward and easy. But without the manual if u get one used like I did yer screwed cuz if yours is like mine yer gonna wanna chunk it out the window. It was set up for midi sync so it wouldnt do s*&@ besides fire pads when u hittem. Got the manual that was fixed in 2 secs.
