The music store salesperson didn’t know much about the guitar except that it came in on trade late last week. This guitar has serial number 186, with John Suhr’s signature (both look to be handwritten in silver ink). Any help in identifying the model and year of this guitar is much appreciated. Serial Number: JS6Y8U. The Suhr Classic T evokes the electric guitar that started it all. Digitized from an original '52 slab body, the Classic T combines legendary design with modern improvements. Guthrie Govan has apparently moved onto Charvels!? [IMG] Look, he's holding one.it must be true!!:p. I don't know, it's been going around on a few other forums. Not that's it's a HUGE deal, but Suhr really did well for him, IMO. It would be ironic if a die hard fan just went and paid 4 grand for a GG Suhr. Suhr Guitars (officially JS Technologies Inc) is an American company that manufactures electric guitars and basses, guitar amplifiers, and effect units. The company is based in Lake Elsinore, California and was founded in 1997 by John Suhr, who 'has a reputation for building exquisitely crafted guitars' and Steve Smith.

Update 1/31/07: I sent an email to Suhr yesterday morning, and have not heard anything yet. From what other TGPers have stated, this is probably a fairly early Classic - maybe from 1998. The store where I bought it told me that Suhr's records may not go back that far, and I may have difficulty obtaining the original spec. Would be great to find out the specs. Fabulous instrument!!

I bought this guitar used - earlier this week - from a local music store. The finish looks to be metallic gray or graphite. Overall, it’s very clean and came with the G&G custom-made case. Although I’ve read quite a bit of great things on this forum about Suhr guitars, I never played one – until today.

Windows Xp Pro Sp3 Sata Isotope. I immediately bonded with this thing. Not sure of the neck radius but, mostly playing an R9 Les Paul for the last five years or so, this feels perfect for me. I did a quick check on the Suhr Website, but could not find a description of this exact guitar (could be pretty common, I’m just not familiar with the various models).

Also, what type of body and fingerboard woods were standard on this type of instrument? Thanks in advance for your help.
