For future references if anyone goes through the same situation The problem was the device serial number. Usually Chinese devices/head units have strange long serial numbers whereas the normal serial number for android devices is 12 digts. I think tomtom has something to do with device serial number for connecting to the internet. You can find an app on google store 'Carservice' change your device serial number to 12 digits and voila you are done. No one replied!

I'm having the same issue here, (I too trying to install Tomtom Go on my Chinese Android head unit) could you elaborate more on how you've managed to change the serial number? I'm not sure which Carservice app you are talking about, but I couldn't seem to find it.
First you need to install malaysk Rom Download the Rom from XDA forum and then go to update menu and change the system rom and then install the Carservice mod change the serial number it is quite easy. Malaysk Rom is really good and worth installing it has so many features and you will like it. How to install ROM DON'T INSTALL TOMTOM i will suggest you don't waste your time with TomTom it is totally waste of time and money. It is most expensive Navigation app and most buggy and complicated to install. You can't install it on SD card especially on your Navagiation Unit and there is no way to choose the map download location, Maps are big and download speed is too slow. If you loose the wifi signal as most cars you can't bring inside the home you have to restart the download again even though if you manage to have a good wifi connection then it will take hours to download. You can't keep the unit on for hours otherwise like me you will end up completely draining your car battery.

Yea I totally wish it didn't have to come down to me trying to get tomtom working. I tried Sygic but a lot of the address here in the United States wouldn't show up in the app, so it's really hard for me to navigate with it, as for Garmin's Navigon, the UI is too out dated that it's really hard to see the instruction on the screen in landscape mode, and there's delay in instruction. So Tomtom is my last bet now. I totally agree that Tomtom's app is a pain in the a**, and their customer service is literally garbage, but damn they have a pretty good user interface.
